Localhost for free
You should be allowed to add 'localhost' to a kit without using up a domain slot. Otherwise you can't develop at the same time as allowing a client to see the correct fonts.

Inappropriate? You can add multiple domains to each "kit" you create, including localhost. You need to separate each domain with a comma, in the Kit settings.
I’m here today, gone tomorrow.

Inappropriate? But doesn't that use up one of your slots?

Inappropriate? Our language around this is a bit confusing. Here's the deal:
- Each plan allows for a number of websites. Those websites are represented in Typekit as Kits. So, if you sign up for the Personal plan which allows 1 website, you are allowed to create 1 kit. The Portfolio plan allows 5 websites, so 5 kits.
- Each Kit may be authorized on a number of domain names - up to 10.
The intention is that a Kit is used to set up the fonts for one project. That project may be hosted at different physical domains (localhost, example.com, staging.example.com). We hope that this system allows for right level of flexibility, though we acknowledge that it's currently not very clear.
The company and 2 other people say
this solves the problem

Inappropriate? Thanks for clearing that up, Ryan
