What this service needs in order for me to find it useful.
Great product by the way. Those are some ghetto-ass fonts to choose from, but I realize font licensing is not cheap. So I'm assuming as the service takes off, you guys will be able to get more professional font houses on board. I'm really hoping it does, because this is a fantastic service.
But in order for me, with my graphic designer hat on, to find the service useful right now, I would need access to some of the known standards such as Helvetica Neue, Franklin Gothic, Gotham, Garamond and such. In addition, bit fonts would be extremely helpful (I'm not the kind that overuses them, but they would be nice for copyright type footer text), such as standard, or any of the FFF ones.
Assuming graphic web designers are your main audience (since we're the ones actually designing, implementing, and feeling limited by font choices), I think it would take including these standard designer fonts in order for this to really take off and become a global standard.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the feedback. As you know, the foundries decide where and how the fonts they've designed and produced are used. And you'll be happy to know that we are in contact with the major and boutique foundries with whom I think you'd most like Typekit to work.
