British citizens can't pass the UK Citizenship Test.
The fact that almost no British citizens can pass the practice test suggests that the questions in the tests are irrelevant and not needed to participate in society.
Have a look at these two Twitter searches for evidence:
uk citizenship test failed and uk citizenship test passed
In particular, many questions read like bad pub quiz questions, such as the exact year in which women gained the right to divorce, or the exact (to nearest million) number of people under the age of 19.

Inappropriate? It's actually outrageous that we're asking people to answer questions that the average well resourced, well educated, middle classes cannot answer. In my short poll on Twitter nobody passed. I got 63%.
The test seems to be more about keeping people out than encouraging knowledge of our culture.
I’m also annoyed.

Inappropriate?I'm at a loss to understand how knowing trivia about the UK population statistics makes one a better citizen. Or, indeed, knowing descriptive for the Church of England.
I’m confused.

Inappropriate?I only learnt that "The Anglican Church" was the same thing as "The Church of England" quite recently and I've never run into any problems.
Frankly, I feel that knowledge of Monty Python is more important to "Life in the UK" than knowledge of Christianity.
I’m disappointed
