Easy to accidentally escape out of new project dialog

I've clicked escape while mistakenly clicking in the Browse File input when creating a project, then inadvertently escaped out of the dialog/lightbox. Wondering if that flow might be better in a standalone page. Perhaps not. I may just be trigger happy and click around too quickly.
