"RENEWABLE MARRIAGE VOWS" why not? for the Filipino people.
I was just wondering, why western and European countries allow the implementation of divorce, and yet they are very successful countries, mostly, amongst the richest one.
Why is it, Philippines is considered as one of the poor countries yet they doesn’t allow such constitution?
I understand that Filipinos were raised to have a great respect to marriage and couples lasting till the day of their last breath.
Why? For they promised before God, that only death can separate them?
That they have to live for the fulfillment of that promise? Though many issues arise in execution of those promises?
How many times reality does show us about battered woman, adultery, bigamy, illegitimate children, poverty and separation? Not once, twice,,,,more,,,more than enough for us to open our eyes that we are not living in a fairy tale movie, “that they live happily ever after”.
I know that Philippine government and the Catholic Church will curse me for this, but I just want to ask, does God want to see one of His creation suffer, feel the pain, cause the pain to others and make their lives miserable just to live with their promises? I don’t believe He does.
Yeah, I can hear them say, “why they got married without any assurance from their partners?”, why? Will they show you their true colors at the beginning? NO! Is there anything constant in this world? NO! Everything changes. Another friend of mine commented “for the sake of my children, even if I’m not happy anymore, I will stay with my husband” wow! What an endearing and selfless devotion to her family, but a silly decision if you are to analyze things. Why you will let your children grow up in a ghastly environment? You want them to see how you both fight? How either one of you committed bigamy or adultery? How you both call each other with different nasty names just to make revenge? Or you want them to grow up traumatized by the cruel environment they are living? Definitely, NO.
So, as a free country, why not the Congress make a constitution if they will not allow divorce, such as “RENEWABLE MARRIAGE VOWS” at which couples who are lucky enough to be with a nearly perfect partners will just renew their vows every year, no hassle, whilst the so called “unlucky” couples will be given a chance for their own freedom, and let their marriage contract expire, without any legal obligations.
Sounds ridiculous, but as a unprejudiced person, I am free to share my opinions and thoughts, the decision will still be up to you,,,so long guys till next!
