[Veoh] We should get online notification when your friend is online.
When you add someone to your friend list a little flash animation should pop-up at the corner of your screen stating whether or not they are online, there should also be a Online / Offline History box stating what time they logged in (GMT / EST / PST etc) in case you were away from the monitor at the time.
You know when you finally meet a chatty individual but because of your different time zones you guys hit lag buffer of over 34 hours between each reply, it would be a nice convenient feature to have.

i guess selective Invisible / Online status is another good one too.

Inappropriate?I imagine that it would have to be a buddy status that the user can set, otherwise it would show you as online when your uploading or downloading a video, which could take hours and your not really there. -
Inappropriate?Thats a nice idea, it could also have other options such as Invisible, Away, or Busy, these which you can set yourself or have them auto activate after a certain amount of time has passed.
Away = When you are AFK on a page for 2 hours (Counting 30 min vids)
Busy = When you are 5 minutes into a video, 10 minutes near CSS etc, can set up notice message on what you are doing.
Invisible = Activates 8 minutes after you login, or immediately.
