Inappropriate?not sure if you aware verizon once charged (local long distance free) not sure if they are still doing it. I was charged for calls two towns over because it wasnt in my calling area. Most calls were my my doctors and the college I was attending at the time.They had a charge on my bill just for the dial tone. Have not used them in a long time. Local cable co one fee long distence inwithin US and PR included $30.00 per month. So much competition. You can even bargin rates and specials against companies. T mobile started a home phone service starting at $10.00 a month. Have not checked it out but it may be worth a looksee. Hope this helps. Great Day.
