Why lie?
I am still upset about a phone call I received last night (at dinnertime) from Verizon. Now, I have been a loyal Verizon customer for three years. Never a problem. Last night the man from Verizon told me I was going to go over my minutes. I was shocked as this has only happened once and we are extremely careful with our minutes. So I asked him if I was actually over my minutes. He then proceeded to tell me I was "on track" to go over my minutes. When I pressed him on the issue, he finally told me he didn't know exactly how many minutes I had used, how many minutes I had left or pretty much anything about my account. I find this extemely upsetting and just plain wrong. This man calls me out of the blue with the specific intent to scare me that I am over my minutes and then probably offer me some other plan. I did not stay on the phone long enough to find out. This is an unacceptable way to do business. If you want to commuincate with me, fine. But don't start off by lying to me.

Inappropriate? That does sound pretty serious. I've never received any call from verizon. they always email me at the email i have listed in my account. and they also include the exact number of minutes/texts i've used and tell me what plan i can upgrade to in order to avoid overages. (And overages were actually really close)
Sounds like you had either a prank or a really bad rep. =/
I’m feeling your pain

Inappropriate? If it's a legit call they will know all your info, if you ever get a call that you feel is not valid just let them know you will call back as you want to be safe with your info. And they do make calls like that, but they always know all about your account, like bill date, current plan and mins used.
