How can I get the VLC full screen mode to work on a secondary monitor?

I plug my HDTV into my laptop as a second monitor and play shows from VLC. Is there a way to make the full screen mode apply to that screen and not my laptop?

My .mov file won't play in VLC, but works in QT

Why is that? I switched to using VLC exclusively because I was having so many problems with QuickTime, but I sometimes get a .mov file that won't play in VLC.

I re-installed leopard. When I try to run VLC it gives me a "VLC quit unexpectedly" error. anyone else get this?

If I'm watching a dvd with VLC, how can I return to the main dvd menu?

I'm often watching a show but need to get back to the main menu. Other than quitting and restarting VLC, how can I do this?
