Inappropriate?Adding multiple emails to your account allows you to use any of those email address on different sites, yet still use the same OpenID to log in. It makes it very convenient.

Inappropriate?Maybe I'm missing something. It didn't look like I could associate e-mails with different profiles. I have a work and a personal profile. I hoped I could associate my work e-mail and my personal e-email to these different profiles.

It seems ironic that I can't use my OpenID to create my account here. But the account creation was about the easiest I've ever seen. -
You can create an account with OpenID - the initial field at http://emailtoid.net/account/start/ accepts either an email address or an OpenID. It's a consumer of itself. -
I'm sorry, but I'm not 100% sure about what you're asking. If you have a work email and a personal email and they both map to the same OpenID in our system, we'll just automatically merge the accounts. -
Sorry, I wasn't clear. I was talking about the Get Satisfaction system. I know it's not yours and you have no control over how they authenticate users. It just struck my as funny at the I was creating my login for the Get Satisfaction system. -
I used myOpenID as my Open ID provider. For my account there, I have two identities, one for work with my work contact info and one with my personal contact info. I would like to associate my work e-mail with my myOpenID account and use the work identity page instead of the personal profile. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding how myOpenID works. I thought this was one of the advantages of the OpenID system: I have one OpenID, but I can have several identities under it. -
That's an advantage that the MyOpenID provider (and most others) has. However, the emailtoid provider is very stupid - it doesn't give back any information to the site at all. Now, you can associate your MyOpenID OpenID with your account, in which case all we do is forward the requests on immediately to them, so MyOpenID will handle everything for you, including having you choose which identity to use, etc.
