Grouping of Presentations
Can i use viewbook to use groupings ? Ideally, id like to have a homepage with a choice of commercial vs personal (with layout similar to current). When clicking on either, the visitor can see all presentations belonging to either group. Kind of like collections and sets in flickr. Is this possible or will it be possible ?

Inappropriate?Yes you can. In Viewbook you can create multiple portfolio pages, which bundle different presentations. This way you can make different portfolios; commercial, personal, etc.
To link the pages together you can add a link inside your pages to other pages. You do this as follows:
In the text part of your portfolio page enter a link to another portfolio page:
"Name of the link":http://yourviewbook.com/portfolio/yourportfolio
That's it.
PS. We're thinking about adding a feature that does this automatically in the future.

Thanks for the answer. Thats not a very elegant solution though. Would be better to have a visual presentation on the screen to click on instead of a simple url link in the text part. Would be nice if this could be added. An idea to develop - im sure other clients would like this as well ? Thanks. -
Inappropriate? You're absolutely right. We'll be designing this feature into a new Viewbook release.
Thanks for your input! -
Inappropriate?Hi, When would a next release be due ? I like viewbook a lot, but also want to know how flexible support and development can be. Thanks, Wim

Inappropriate?Hi, we have a lot of new developments ahead of us. We're planning to add a roadmap to our website, just like Vimeo (www.vimeo.com/roadmap) so you can see what we plan to build.
This feature is planned to be released end of Februari 2009. In this release we'll add a lot more options to the portfolio pages.
Also check this page to see an example of how a user links portfolio pages together: http://jonathanplevy.viewbook.com/ (see menu in the text)
