Needs a custom home page, contact page, and bio page!
Viewbook!? What's going on?
I thought you would work out great. You have the best company website out of all the others. From the "examples of use" I thought you offered awesome customizable websites. Here's my beef.
Problem #1 Title. You can only change the font and color of the title. What about replacing it with an image? Changing the position?
Problem #2 Only one layout? You really thought professional artists would be perfectly satisfied with one layout? Try adding a some options.
Problem #3 Font. You can only choose one font for the whole home page. All Lucida Grande. All Georgia. And the size of all text is locked! Once again, a portfolio website is an artist's baby. They will want to dress that baby up special.
Prob #4 Contact page. Maybe you expect you us to put our contact information on the home page. No. That's messy and businessy. The home page should be incredibly appealing. Simple, clean, compelling.
Prob #5 Bio page. For the same reason above there needs to be a bio page.
Problem #6 Extra pages with what ever information you want.
Problem #7 Intro page. Artists would rather visitors go to a real gallery. The next best thing is a website that makes visitors feel they are not at a computer. An Intro page help break the "on-the-internet" feel.
I didn't make this to harp on you guys. I love the image manager and many other things about Viewbook. But I can't use it until you fix this stuff.

First of all thanks for your feedback about this. Ok, here's our story:
Viewbook is created to make it easy to show your work. To clients, potential clients and other relations. We use Viewbook ourselves to create client presentations, to show selections of our work and of course our photos. We created the 'Portfolio page' to show collections of your work. A practical and simple format to show (selections of) your work. People use the portfolio page as 'main website' but also as a practical format to display work besides their website. A website is -most of the time- not a practical format to quickly show a selection of your work to that potential client. So this is why Viewbook is the way it is currently. The portfolio page is simple, quick to setup, and clean in it's format. Actually not meant to be a 'complete' portfolio website.
However as we're growing we notice a lot of artists are looking for a complete portfolio website solution. I know there are a lot of options out there, and I also know I don't like most of them. That's why we are thinking about offering different formats: the simple 'portfolio page' format we currently have for presentation/collection use, and more 'website' like formats which you can use as a full portfolio website. We'll make sure that we create clean and thoughtful designed formats, and give people who want to customize more, all the tools they need, including custom CSS.
Any examples, or feedback about this is very very welcome.
PS. I'll make sure that our examples of use page is more clear about this.
