Trouble embedding on wordpress.com blogs?
I can't get my viewbook slideshows into my Wordpress.com blog, when I put the code in, it comes up with a flash box in the edit page, however when I publish it doesn't show up.

Ok, there is a difference between websites hosted on wordpress.com and custom wordpress installs. Embedding Viewbook on wordpress.com doesn't work. Embedding Viewbook in a custom wordpress install is possible.

Inappropriate?Wordpress.com filters out any flash embed or other 'unwanted' code. This is what their FAQ says:
"For security reasons we remove the tags needed for the above. Your intentions may be innocent but someone somewhere would try to damage the site. Currently we allow the linking to files from Google Video, Youtube, DailyMotion, Grouper, Odeo, and SplashCast."

I tried several things without succes. Anybody else any tips?

Inappropriate?I als embedded a presentation in a webpage. with safari installed with flash 10 it is possible to see the presentation. But with non upgraded safari or firefox users the presentation will not load or will be visible
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?We were just upgrading the presentations so they are compatible with Flash 10. The embedded presentations should also work again in previous versions. Let me know if you still encounter problems.

Inappropriate?I embeded a presentation in a webpage http://www.danieljenkinsphoto.com/por...
Safari displays it great, however firefox 3 is not displaying it. Any suggestions? -
Inappropriate?Additional information... It works in firefox if I set the width and height to something other than a %... Hmmm, but I want it to appear 100%

Inappropriate?Here's the fix:
I've figured it out with the help of google and thought I would share the results. Simply adding the following code between the head tags
<style>
html, body, div {
height: 100%;
}
</style>
I’m happy

Inappropriate?@danieljenkinsphoto: did you try this at a wordpress.com website (hostted on wordpress.com) or a custom install of wordpress?
-
Inappropriate?@Rien, I tried this in my own web page. Phil (above post) mentioned having an issue, and I had the same issue but found a fix. Perhaps this should have been posted in a different thread, but the topic was similar. My apologies.

Inappropriate?So there is no way to put it on a wordpress blog? That makes viewbook kind of useless for me.

Inappropriate?Works great in Blogger

Inappropriate?@Byron: Wordpress.com makes it impossible to embed Flash any other than Youtube, Google Video and some others. Read here: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/c...
I'm not sure if you can install 'plugins' on wordpress.com (maybe with a payid account?), if so we could write a Viewbook plugin for wordpress.com.

Inappropriate?100% fixed.
I have been able to figure out how to place a gallery into a wordpress page. When you visit the page it is full screen by default, just as it appears on viewbook's gallery pages. There is a chunk of code for this fix, however since this thread is old, you're going to have to email me to get it (not complicated, just too much for this post.) I'd be more than happy to help. email at creezlavie@gmail.com
Cheers!
I’m complete.
