"Almost There!" - NOT
"latest version of Vivaty player" does not seem to install. I have downloaded the player, installed, refreshed the browser, uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted the computer, and I continue to get the "Almost There!" screen. Apparently the installation is silently failing or the IE 7 browser is not handling it correctly.

Inappropriate?Earl, I'm sorry you're having trouble installing the Vivaty player. There could be an issue with IE7 blocking popups or it could also be a graphics card issue.
Are you running Windows XP or Vista? Could you please send us your dxdiag file to help@vivaty.com? To do so go to Start>Run and type in dxdiag. Then save the file somewhere on your computer and attach it in the e-mail.
Hopefully we can resolve this issue quickly. Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I took my popups off and my graphics card is a 8800 so I know it is not me. I get an error 1904 saying it did not register. So what is up with that?
-
Inappropriate?hi rene, i asked our developers and the 1904 error is a new one for us. can you send me a dxdiag file (see instructions in ben's post above on how to get this) to help@vivaty.com? A screen shot of the bug would also be great, if you can re-create it. thanks

Inappropriate?hi rene, i just found out that this problem is likely solved by sending you a re-distributable. And, the good news is that we are adding a few of these re-distributables into our player on Tues or Wed of next week. So if you want to still send me a dxdiag, it will help. But otherwise, uninstall what you have and see if our release on Tues/Wed helps. thanks!

Inappropriate?mine is doing the same thing! i have Windows XP (i think, i know nothing about computers) if that helps.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?hi guys, would you mind trying again (with a fresh install?) we just pushed some new bits of our installer which should (key word is "should") solve this. we also now offer Firefox 3 support if that interests you.
-
Inappropriate? The new install appears to work fine in Firefox 3.0.1. The browser did crash within 20 minutes of loading the player but I can't blame you for that (yet!). When Firefox is restarted, it offers the option of "continuing the last session." Your player fails to establish a connection in that situation and offers a misleading message suggesting a port needs to be opened.
I’m on to creating the next problem

Inappropriate? When it says memory it could mean RAM.
Deleting stuff will only give you hard drive space.
I’m unsure
