Chat window...not very obvious for newcomers

Hi Chris, thanks for the kind words and the thoughtful ideas. Right now the Vivaty logo in the lower-right-hand side of the HUD will flash if chat activity is going on and your chat window is not open. Did you not see that happening? We are always thinking about ways to improve chat - 1 idea was to move to chat bubbles over the avatars' heads. Thoughts on that?

Oh really? I have to be honest that I hadn't noticed that. Perhaps I haven't been in a crowded environment to see it. As for chat bubbles i've seen and used them on other platforms but didn't find them highly effective and tended to ignore them. Its fine if you are looking at someone but if Donza is creeping around behind you (as she tends to do :p) you can't see her chat bubble. :)

Have to agree with Christopher. Not at all easy for newcomers to chat. For one thing, Help says the chat button is on the lower-right of the screen. It isn't. It's on the lower left.

For another, when I click it and get the translucent chat bubble over my scene, I can type to my heart's content but nothing will ever show up in the chat window. People come to visit my new scene and wander around for a while, stare at me, then leave, surely wondering why I'm not talking to them!

This is frustrating! It happens every single time I get into Vivaty. I haven't been able to even say hello to a single visitor to my scene. What's happening?

Okay, for any other users: When someone visits your scene, ignore the chat button and chat bubble and whatnot. To chat, you must right-click on the person and choose "chat." That's the only thing I've found that works to talk to people in my scene.

I find that you have to wait for the scene to load 100% before attempting to talk other wise even once it has loaded, if you've already tried before letting it reach the 100% you need to reload the room for the chat to appear.
