My Vivaty player is not showing other embedded X3D content
I recently updated to the latest version on Vivaty player and find that other X3D content embedded in a HTML page doesn't load. The player will show in IE7, but it wont load anything ( *Vivaty Player 0.8.8.974 (DirectX 9.0) RELEASE). Nothing at all loads in FF. This all worked fine until I updated recently, please advise. :(

Inappropriate?Seems to work for us. Might be the file you're testing. Try using example objects from the "X3D: Extensible 3D Graphics for Web Authors" site.

Inappropriate? The examples on the x3dgraphics.com web site do work, as you say. But there does still appear to be a bug.
I have a 3D web application which I can view fne in BS Contact in Internet Explorer, but if I try and load it with the Vivaty plugin in Firefox I just get a continuously loading progress bar. The X3D data has successfully been downloaded because I can see it if I click View > Source, but for some reason Vivaty doesn't render it.
This is quite a serious problem for me at the moment. I have tried serving the resource using Django's internal web server and Apache via mod_python, and I get the same symptoms with both.
I'm using the latest Vivaty Player and the latest Firefox on Windows XP.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I have a theory on this, but it's difficult for me to test. Is it possible that Vivaty Player is only rendering scenes served by Windows and/or IIS?
Whenever I try and view a scene over the web hosted by GNU/Linux, the file gets downloaded to the browser but Vivaty Player just seems to hang.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Another piece of information: It works fine if you embed the X3D as an object in an HTML file, it's if the X3D file itself is served (with the MIME type mode/x3d-xml) that the problem occurs.

Inappropriate?I have investigated this further and submitted a bug report on my findings. My problem at least was caused by Last Modified headers not being returned by the server and Vivaty Player not coping.
