Anybody know how to get in touch with VW of America other than via the 800 number? Found an address for them in Rochester Hills, MI, but it seems it may be an old one and they have moved to Herndon VA?
I've spoken with customer service about a problem I have, and am not happy with their response. They claim I can't escalate it to anybody else, but I find that hard to believe.
I have a Passat 2004 and it needs an axle shaft replacement. The car is being repaired at an authorized VW dealer in Mexico City. The problem is, according to them, the price of this (left) axle shaft is around $1100 USD. Is this the appropriate price for this part? What is the price of this piece in the US ?
I had the same problem with one of my Volkswagons as Greg. Eratic shift just out of the blue. I sold it before the warrenty was up. V.W. would not address the problem. I knew they were about to make it my problem. I have had 5 of thier cars in a row. All new. Now I am not a customer anymore. They need to FIRE the quality control dept. Even if they would step up and take care of thier product, who wants to run between the repair shop and life all of the time.
