I'd love to use wackoopa but since my OS is GNU/Linux I, unfortunately, can't. Since I can't really keep checking back on the site just in case the tracker for GNU/Linux is ready I would love to have an option to somehow subscribe to a mailing list that will inform me when it is ready.
Otherwise I'm bound to forget.
Alternatively, just post in this topic when it's ready and at least I'll see it in my dashboard :)
I've been just browsing another Wakoopa user's profile looking for interesting software. In the main user profile page I can see a tag cloud, which is helpful, but the tags are too general. In the "usage" page there is a full list of applications but I can see only their titles which does not really tell me what they are about. I must click them one by one which would take too much time.
What about:
(a) displaying the application-specific tags, next to each title on the list?
AND/ OR
(b) making an option "display detailed tag cloud" on the the main user profile page? In that cloud all application-specific tags would be displayed.
Even though I did not notice any update of the tracker (so it's not exactly the same problem as I've seen), no data was sent in the last few days (I decided to wait a bit until it worked again, but it did not).
I'm using version 1.0.5-f4, on Windows 2000, behind a proxy, and it worked well before.
I understand that you are hoping to make some more widgets for people to put on their blogs, but I would really like a straight cut of these 3 features to embed on my blog: http://twitpic.com/2uo9
I tried doing this myself, but because each element seems to draw on images directly from your servers I was having difficulty...
I have gotten the notification yesterday to update the tracker to the latest version. However, after updating it, the tracker has cease to sends my software usage data to the site. I have tried to re-install it again, but nothing has changed. I even uninstall the new version and opt for the old version, but so far that hasn't worked either.
As a Mac user, I'm not interested in any Windows software. So I'd like to browse the Software page and being presented only Mac related softwares. This is the same when I browse by category
I guess Windows users agree with me one this ;)
Currently there is too many answers or suggestions : I think it is not completely usable.
Wakoopa widget and third party mashup share our usages instantly. But it's take too many time to set privacy for newly software usages we wouldn't share...
Also, we need privacy features into Wakoopa tracker... I submit you to study Cluztr extension features ;o)
My desired feature into your tracker :
- Submenu items with our last reported usages which open Wakoopa software page (+ previous submit)
- Option to delete (or set as private) last minutes of usages (like Cluztr)
The Wakoopa Tracker crashes almost immediately on Vista 64-bit. Is this a known problem? I checked the system requirements and didn't see anything about 32-bit vs. 64-bit.
I've already played around with different downloaded programs, after burning them down the PS2 won't read the disc...
How do I do that correctly, which software, which program to use to correctly transfer it on CD-R, can anybody help?
Yep, the whole Wakoopa team has arrived at Satisfaction. Ready to digest your questions, ideas, problems, or just to have a chat with some fellow Wakoopians
So come in, pillage our fridge, put your feet on the table, and enjoy!
A quick idea: for software that runs on both platforms (Mac & PC), would it be possible to show what proportion of use is from which platform...
As an example... For Firefox, 68% of people are using Windows and 32% Mac. It's perfectly possible this already exists and I'm just being a little dumb
