We're currently working on plans to revamp the version system. Your request to be able to submit new versions manually will also be part of that new system.

We're currently testing the new version system (check out Firefox' versions for instance). Next to that we're finishing an environment where you can register as a software developer and edit software details yourself. This will be released for testing within two weeks.
