I would like to see Wakoopa in various languages - I believe that the community would share their knowledge to make wakoopa in various languages - to attract more people.

Wow shirayuki, that looks great, thanks for your effort. We're still working on how to implement this best, but it's great to see that you are already doing some of the work.
I’m thankful and impressed

It sounds like a good solution. However, you must note we get around 100 software submissions a day, so it could be a lot of work for the language admins. On the other hand, if we have multiple language admins, work can be spread.
We'll take this into consideration, thanks!

Inappropriate? We totally see the added value of having Wakoopa in multiple languages. The thing is that some parts of Wakoopa - mainly the software descriptions - are only available in English and constantly changing.
All the static text and stuff like category descriptions etc however could be translated more easily, so it's something we're thinking about how to implement it in a way that's not confusing.
I’m verrückt

Inappropriate?Fully agree what you ́re saying, but still thinking this could be solved. While the static text needs only one time to be translated the dynamic texts like the software descriptions could be translated time after time, into a specific language - and here is how it could work:
I ́m visiting Wakoopa and have a look on Firefox. I see its still in english, and there is a link (like the "complete Information" - Link) "Help us translating" or similar. After submitting, the translated description will be mailed to the admin in charge - that one who is responsible for a specific Language - he ́s going to have a look on it and approves it (or dismiss it).
Couldn ́t be that a Solution to think about?

Inappropriate? That's a good idea. And I guess it can work in a way similar to last.fm. You can see, the artists' descriptions there depend on your language...
I can offer my help with the Russian translation. -
Inappropriate?I have been making the Japanese translation table.

Inappropriate?i can make the turkish translation
-
Inappropriate?Great! I was going to post the same idea when i saw this one. I'm not a good engish writer, but I understand it perfectly and I'm a native latin-american spanish speaker. Now you have 2 possible spanish language admins!
I’m excited

Inappropriate? If you do this, please make it fall back on English. Because while big languages like German, Spanish and French and may have many translators, others won't. You can't put those users on a "Sorry, deze omschrijving werd nog niet vertaald."
I’m excited
