Actually, we thought about this but that would require a lot of effort on our part. It is an application that talks to our site so we'll have to set up all kinds of testing tools for you guys to see if it's working. Instead we decided to hire the best Linux guy we know and just build it. The first beta testing will probably start in a few weeks, keep you posted!

Inappropriate? To be honest with you, it's not our main priority at this point. However, we recently spoke with some developers and one of them is starting development on a Linux tracker (compatible with all main distro's). We'll hope to release this client in the next few months. If you have any suggestions on what it should look like, let me know!
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Although I do understand that your audience isn't really about Linux, such a tracker in addition to Linux package management could be a great thing and would be adopted by many users. Just because most of the software in Linux is not only free but can be installed with a click.
Is there any place where I can track the status of this project? I mean, the Linux version.
P.S.: At least you could provide means for submitting statistics manually.
P.P.S.: And why do you feel excited about this?)
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I'm excited to finally launch the Linux client once it's done. I totally get why it would be great to have one. We'll keep you updated on our blog:

Submitting stats manually would kind of cripple our concept, but that might be something worth to look into in the future. -
Inappropriate? Why not Open Source the application? I mean, that would speed up development AND take any privacy issues out the way...
I’m frustrated that it's taking so long...
