Wakoopa can't connect to the Internet, but other apps do so without problem
I have downloaded the Wakoopa tracker, and have opened a Wakoopa account, but when I run the Wakoopa tracker and attempt to log in via the opening "Welcome to Wakoopa" dialogue, I get an error message stating that Wakoopa can't make a connection to the Internet, and I am offerred the opportunity to add proxy settings (but I don't use a proxy server!).
I have an XP machine that is behind a standard Linksys router attached to a DSL modem, and no other software on my machine has problems connecting to the Internet. I have rebooted and stripped down the number of running apps, but to no avail. I have Googled (etc.) for others reporting a similar problem, but have not found any useful hits. Are there known reasons for this connection-failure behaviour, and if so, what remedies exist? Thx!

Inappropriate?I'm having the exact same problem. All my other apps connect just fine but Wakoopa doesn't connect at all. I'm running a completely different setup though. I'm running Vista 64 and my internet connection is through a University.
I’m disappointed...

Inappropriate?I used a software called fidler to see what other info I could get, and I see that it is getting a 503 error from the server. So it's upto the Wakoopa guys to find out what's wrong with their server.
I’m waiting

Wow, tried again, it's working now. Didn't change anything, though. -
Inappropriate?Lunox, the same thing is true now for me. I tried logging in (thanks to your post) and succeeded immediately. Wakoopa is now running on my machine and connecting correctly to the 'net. Perhaps the Wakoopa folks made a server change overnight?
I’m happy

Inappropriate? We had some server problems which caused the tracker to give an error when it tried to connect. Should be fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience!
I’m thankful

It's working this morning, so looks like it was another temporary problem. Result!
