Wal-Mart Supercenter Store #397 1200 E. Jackson Ave. Mcallen, TX 78503. On 11/09/08 at approximately 9:00 p.m., I tried to use a visa card which the machine accepted, but the clerk asked for I.D., (the card was properly issued, and is signed) and I offered to sign any receipts twice. She did not give me my card back at that time, but asked for a manager / managers. I talked to two other uniformed and one plain clothed manager who said that it was store policy (to refuse a credit card without additional I.D.), even after I explained the visa merchant policy. They canceled the sale - refusing to sell me approx. $30.00 of items for not showing an I.D. in violation of their contract with 'visa' *. The manager even asked me some inappropriate questions such as were do you live, and why do you drive a car with mexican plates; I asked - what is your name / which he refused to give me. This Walmart suffers from borderitis (10 miles north of Mexico), and consistently gives poor service. 1) most of the staff is in the back, and the employees will often either not answer, or can't answer a question, ...even the greeters stare at you. Once, I was double charged for several items, and it took 30 minutes for a manager to come to the help desk in order to give a refund - no apology; another time, the cashier placed a bag, on the floor, rather than in the cart (pay for twenty, receive nineteen), More than once, the cashier has had to ask for instructions, as how to price match items. There are other walmarts, several miles away, that treat their customers with dignity though. Sorry - this may be the sorriest walmart in the walmart empire.

I paid for this card with my brother for a gift for his wifes birthday, today. I tried to activate it myself but had issues. I myself, purchased 2 cards the previous fall to buy a computer, I had them canceled after I had used up the balance I put on them, with no balance owing. They are trying to say that I never canceled them and now have 2 balances owing. They say on one card, account # 4736901113621900 10/10, that I owe $9.90 for 2 months service fees, 2 months that should have been cancelled, and on another card, account # 4736901113552840 10/10, that I owe $45.95 for transactions rendered, when it is a PRE-PAID CARD! I should only have transactions on the card that I have authorized, and I never went over my account balance. It should have been impossible to do so. I am fighting these overages and filed both accounts unauthorized charges. All I want at this point, is to either authorize me to use my money on this card or give me an immediate return of funds on the card. The total is $200.00. I feel sickened by this whole situation and just want it to be fixed at this point. I did not agree to any overages on the account. I just want my money back on card with account# 4470912206421074 12/11, the activation code is, 48842121489051. Until these other matters concerning my outstanding balances is solved, by investigation from your department, my current card should not be affected. I expect a quick solution concerning my new card. Or I will be in contact with the Better Business Bureau. WalMart tends to hire teenagers who are underage as cashiers, and they can't legally sell alcohol to adults. So, customers who happen to end up behind the customer trying to buy the stuff are left to wait...and wait...until a manager on duty decides to show up to process the sale. Why does it take so long? This has happened several times at different WalMarts. I have asked and have received the same excuses - the other managers are on break or lunch. Whatever!

I went to my local Walmart and purchased a few items, I used my debit card when I checked out. I was checking my receipt while I was walking out the door and it was for $20.00 more than the total. At the botton of the receipt-it said $20.00 cash back. I did not request or receive $20.00. When I went back to the cashier she said thats strange my drawer did not pop open, and gave me $20.00. This whole situation is still sitting strange with me-BE sure to check your receipts. I called a couple of hours later to talk to the manager, the person who answered the phone didn't know what manager was working and her walkie talkie was dead, so she put me on hold, a few minutes later she came back and said no one was responding and for me to call back in ten to fifteen minutes. I would still like to talk to some one.

I went to a walmart store out of town shopping and wanted to purchase a car cd player, when I ask they told me that I could not cause it was late. Well a store employee came up and told me he was a security officer/ store manager. I ask him his name and he told me John but would not give me his last name.So when I got home I called back and ask to speak to a manager or a asst when she came to the phone she said her name but would not give me her last name she told me that was none of my business. I feel that this was rude and un called for. It is service like this that everyone needs to be aware of. How does a company run when you have employees like this.

12/12/08 Santa Fe,N.M.Long customer lines at check out at 11PM.Employees unwilling to help or call store manager for assistance .One cashier even closed while customers were waitng in line.Why shop at a business that treats clientle with disrepect? A reocurring theme at this store.Managers have been observed turning their back on customers. If they don't care why should I. Good time to start shopping somewhere else. Merry Christmas.
