Inappropriate?I'm very interested in WalMart putting in a Super store here in Limon or Hugo, Colorado. The closest Walmart is over 150 miles away. Most folks, in this rural area, take a 1-2 trip to the "City" of their choice to get services. We need everything from food, medications, clothing, items for our homes, personal needs, school items, and even jobs. This area is going to be the site of the great north-south rail and highway. We already are the hub on I-70 going east-west. Imagine, if you will, sick, and needing to drive to Wal Mart to pick up medications for you or your child. Or, you have arthrititis in your knees and you've just made a once a month trip of three hundred miles and hours shopping, only to arrive home with tens of bags to carry up steps and put away. There are also not many employment options here. Most are in the motel buisness. There are a few professionals and few retail positions. And the future of the that great north-south highway and rail will make this a perfect location for people getting off to travel east or west. Do the calculations. Build a store here! wildthreads
