No response from Washington Mutual, no customer service or follow-up
Washington Mutual will not respond to our inquery regarding their spring '07 promotion for a companion flight airline ticket.
We qualified, completed/mailed the form to TLC marketing/Boston. The form said they would contact us within 14 days.
After 4 months, we contacted TLC who said they had not responded as our flight request was so far out; they said they would contact us *next week*. We waited 3 weeks and called them back. Again, they said they would call us back within a week. That was 12 weeks ago - no word from TLC. We have since bought our airline tickets for our flight from PDX to SanDiego. I feel this is terrible service from TLC and a poor reflection on WAMU. Now WAMU won't respond to us either. This is really bad / poor!!

Please let me know the status of my travel voucher !!!
Last June I received a letter from you that I qualified for the WM Mastercard Debit "travel voucher" Program where I would get 1 free airline ticket with the purchase of another one.
I submitted my form (which included 3 destination spots and 3 preferred travel dates) last September and I have yet to hear anything. I have tried to contact your office by telephone but I could never get a live person. I have called the TLC customer service number at least 40 times and the representatives always tell me that someone "will be calling you to confirm your flight", but I have never once received a call from you. What is going on??? My travel voucher expires on March 1, 2008 (1 week away) and I submitted my paperwork last September and have been waiting to hear something. My husband and I have been ready to travel for months now and we're just waiting for confirmation but nothing is happening. What kind of company are you running???? I'm starting to feel like you are running some kind of scam. I am very frustrated to say the least!!!!

Inappropriate?It is a TERRIBLE marketing strategy! I love WAMU and have always thought highly of them, particularly because they have had one of the highest interest rates on things like online savings and CD. However, this TLC Marketing has truly disappointed me! I submitted the voucher a little over 1 month as they said to do. Maybe I didn't put all dates and places since I really didn't have alternative places I wanted to go to or dates to take off from work - shouldn't that be our choice??? Anyhow, I admit that may have been a shortcoming on my part, but they could have called me (with all my info in that voucher) to settle the matter. Instead, they sent the voucher back to me - or so WAMU Marketing told me! Frankly, I think that's just another excuse because when I asked them when they sent it and why haven't I received it or heard from them 3 1/2 weeks later, all they said was... "IT WAS SENT TO A WRONG ADDRESS!" The address on the voucher and the envelope and my clear handwriting, yet they managed to send it to a wrong address??? Then, they said they would contact me in 3-5 business days... well, it's been over 2 WEEKS!!! by the way, FYI: I contacted WAMU Marketing instead of TLC Marketing because no one will pick up or return email on TLC. Not that WAMU responds either, but someone picked up the phone! So... Obviously, the date I wanted passed and worse, the voucher expired!!! Will WAMU fix this??? most likely not! Needless to say, I am very disappointed and quite UPSET that WAMU would partner with people who cannot deliver! thus, making them unable to deliver --- bad for their usually good reputation!

Inappropriate?Hey everyone, it's me Lily again. GOOD NEWS !!! I finally got ahold of the CEO/President of TLC who connected me with one of the travel agents handling the travel arrangements. Her name is Marianne and is really nice and helpful. My voucher expires on 3/1/08 but she extended the deadling untill 5/31/08 due to the trouble and frustration I've been through. She said she will do the same for all of you. Her direct number is 617-788-9657. She is available M-F 9am-5pm. Good luck everyone. We need to stick together.

I too am having this issue. I sent my voucher in by the requested deadline months ago!!! I then put a call in and was supposed to receive a call back from them and never did!! The deadline to use the voucher is now gone and I feel scammed!! Lily, it sounds like you got results, so I will try that contact and see if I get anywhere. Thanks for the info.

Inappropriate?I had the same issue. I called Marianne and she was kind and cool, and had me fax her immediately with all the pertinent info.
I don't know who TLC is but their e-mail is down, no one responds to their voice, and half their links on their website are dead. So they probably are too.
