Online CD

After decideing that WaMu would offer the highest interest rate for a CD online, I decided to open an account. It was easy enough to transfer the money from my home checking account electronically into a WAMU online CD. Well, an emergency situation came up, and we desperately needed to retrieve OUR money from the CD before its maturity date. We were willing to take the penalty fee in order to retrieve our money before the maturity. Well after waiting two weeks for our check, we called WAMU just to find out that the request had never been processed, and the best they could do was re-submit the request, and ask us to wait ann other 7 business days for our check. Oh, and by the way we still have to pay the penalty fee. Their customer service was very poor and un-empathetic, and I am very dissatisfied with their service. I will not be reccomending them to anyone looking for a online CD.
