Hi Kevin,
I tried to login with my usual name and password but no joy. Also, I'm not seeing any of my albums on the site. In the jazz section there are are zero albums, though I do feel that my last album "Afar" is in that category. When will download and sales statistics be availble to already registered artists, and how does one access this info?

Also everyone if you are having trouble logging in to your account make sure that you've done the following:
1.) Verify Your Account: Check your e-mail (Junk Mail, Spam, Bulk, Storage, etc.) for your activation e-mail. Sometimes you make have signed up but didn't verify your account.
2.) Consult With The Staff: If your account has been activated and verified but you still cannot log in, let us know and we will provide you with a temporary username and password e-mailed to you by one of our representatives.

Once you've signed up and is able to login to your account, you'll have to re-upload all of your content that you've previously delivered to us to manage your content much better. I'll announce to everyone once our Sales Dashboard is ready. -
If I understand you rightly Kevin what you're saying is that everyone needs to create a completely new account at WaTunes ( new style). What happened to all of the music that's already been uploaded to the WaTunes servers? If one already has music at iTunes etc. which was placed there through WaTunes ( old style) what would be the point in having to upload all that stuuff again?

Yes, everyone has to create a new account and re-upload all of their content that was previously distributed through the WaTunes 1.5 system.
As for your content that is already out on iTunes, Napster, eMusic and other music services, your content is STILL there. So you don't have to worry about re-delivering them to the music store services (Although iTunes may be a possibility of re-delivery due to the WaTunes/RoyaltyShare split).
Some of the main reasons why we would like you to re-upload your content is because:
1.) This helps you manage your content much better using the new content management system in which you can add, edit, or fix any errors of your content.
2.) To build your social presence at the site, providing your fans to listen to your music must more effectively and easily.
3.) Enables us to track and notify you of any privy information regarding your content.

Does this mean that artists who have already got their music on iTunes etc. through the former WaTunes will now have to pay to get the SAME content heard on this new site, even after Sept. 7th? Also,if an artist has already set up an album through the old WaTunes is it necessary to go through the setup procedure again for each album?
As a trial I just uploaded an mp3 of an existing album track twice and in both cases it just diappeared into thin air after upload. Any idea what's happening there? -

No. If you are a customer of the previous 1.5 model you will not have to pay for the new 2.0 services and features. All previous customers who have signed up and has delivered music contents to us will not have to pay.

OK Kevin, I get it. One question remains unanswered. I've just been into my artist dashboard again and tried to upload a track. I'm watching this process taking place, and as soon as the point is reached that upload is complete the track just disappears instead of being added. What's the story there?

Hi John. This is a major upload bug that we're currently working on fixing right now. Hopefully we should have everything fixed within the next day or so. - Kevin -

Currently we still have direct deals with ALL of our music store services. iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, eMusic, MediaNet Digital, Amazon MP3, ShockHound, Masterbeat, Juno Download, AmieStreet, Wal-Mart, and others.
However, we're grouping them for testing and integration into our new XDI software which is what powers WaTunes 2. I will announce to everyone when the first batch of stores has been tested and ready for mass-delivery.
Our first batch of stores is: iTunes, Napster, and eMusic. Being that everyone would rather be on iTunes than any other store. As time progress you'll see new store availability and content and sales allocations.
There are MANY bugs and errors that we're working on to better serve you as a customer. Rest assure that the wait will be well worth it.
