webshots saving pictures doesnt work anymore.
Can anyone download pictures by clicking the fullsize icon on the right of every picture? I was able to do this morning but not anymore. Please help. I was also using a addon for firefox to download webshots and that worked fine for a few hours and then failed. I tried uninstalling firefox, reinstalling it, doesnt matter. Emptying the cache doesntd do anything either. Then with IE6 I tried to add an addon for turning off the flash so that when i click full size I would get a saveable picture but i still get flash features when i right click. No image save. I have to actually view the source of the webpage, and copy and paste the url to the image to the address bar to get the image to save. Any ideas what I can do to fix either problem, the firefox webshots addon or the main webshots problem? theno1katzman at gmail dot com. Thanks.

Inappropriate?there is a program you can use called Gadwin PrintScreen
which downloaded from the site below.
http://www.techsupportalert.com/
once you open a picture in webshots you will need
to make the picture full screen then hit the print screen key
on your keybord and save the picture to where you want it to be saved. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Pictures cannot be viewed in full size mode. I think it is a problem on their website as I was able to view full size mode before. I have emailed them about this situation. Are you getting errors such as "done" or "done with errors" on your page, because I am receiving those messages. Must be something wrong with the website. :(

Inappropriate?oh, I found out two ways to solve this. If you use webshots desktop, you can just favorite the user and get all the pictures that way, of course it won't save anything, you have to view them in slideshow mode and print screen to get the pictures. Another method i found is bulk image downloader v1.37 (latest version) will download the albums. I dont know how to get full size pictures, but it gets them normal size really quickly. Neodownloader does not. Thanks for the replies.

Inappropriate? Thanks for replying. I emailed customer service about this issue and am waiting to hear back from them. I know a few more people who are having this problem and it seems to be a website error. Once I hear back from them, I will let you know what's going on. Thanks for the tips. If you notice that the images go back to full view mode, I would appreciate a head's up. Thanks!

Inappropriate?Guys, I dont think there's a problem with Webshots....I'm certain they are doing this intentionally. I'd imagine many users are tired of people lifting their photos and spreading them elsewehre across the internet.
But if you're using firefox, I do know of a way to save the pics....just not the large size. And its almost not even worth the effort.
1. On the main photo page (not the fullsize page), right click somewhere on the background (not on the picture itself)
2. View Page Info
3. Click the "Media" tab at the top of the window that opens
4. The scroll until you see the picture file. You'll be able to distinguish which are picture files because it will say "Image" in the righthand column under "Type
5. Highlight the file by clicking the mouse once
6. The picture will appear at the bottom of that window
7. Just to the upper right of that picture, click the "Save As" button and save it where ever you please.
Told you it almost isnt worth it....
Still trying to figure out a way to save the fullsize pic. The print-screen method described above loses resolution. -
Inappropriate?Twinkle Star, " http://blog.webshots.com/?p=964 Boo!" I disagree 100 % with you. A lot of members have had their pictures stolen by the right click "save as" option. The stolen pictures have been found at Webshots and at other websites, as well. I would recommend, that you do, what I do. Download the desktop client and download the pictures, that you want. All The Best, Teresa
I’m happy and excited

I agree 100 % with Rachel7119, Jim Harmon, and Chrisrod100. Since April of this year, there have been 3 or 4 stolen pictures, that were featured as the POTD. The “New Flower Pro Shots” Blog is at http://blog.webshots.com/?p=889 .The picture that is discussed was stolen from the Windows Vista Wall Paper system. The “New Desktop Client and Bug Fixes” Blog is at http://blog.webshots.com/?p=880 .A lot of questions, issues, and problems, were raised in this blog. I am glad to see this problem fixed. I would like to see vertical pictures featured. I have two vertical pictures, that were featured in the Persian Cats Channel. “Sir Noel” is at http://pets.webshots.com/photo/200131... and “Teresa and Sir Noel 3′′ is at http://pets.webshots.com/photo/289088... .The Persian Cat features is at http://pets.webshots.com/tag/persian-... .They are currently on the second line, toward the end. I have another picture above the “Teresa and Sir Noel 3′′ picture. Sometimes, vertical works better for pictures, than horizontal. That was the case, in my pictures. I would recommend that people, do what I do. Download the Desktop Client and download the pictures, that you want, for wall paper and screen savers. I am a paying member and I am staying with Webshots. All The Best, Teresa"

Inappropriate?Hello! I would like to help for the WS callers, that how could pictures to take in a full-size. Please read it:
1. Click on the WS album, the picture and the original size icon.
2. Go to Total Commander if the pictures downloaded in the FireFox.
3. Please follow the path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\'variouschars'.default\Cache\
4. You find the pictures in this library. Order the files into a row according to date and the cache downloaded last will be a file picture hopefully.
5. Rename the file (ex.: 3356F3FGn01 to 3356F3FGn01.jpg).
6. You may see it, the picture is resplendent in full-size.
Greetings from Hungary! :)

Inappropriate? It's easy. Click on the link to view full size. Then view the page source.
Down about 41 lines in the code you'll see a like like this:
so.addVariable('source', 'http://image71.webshots.com/71/9/28/4/2904928040026833251LzgIqq_fs.jpg');
Inside that code is the direct link to the full size jpg file:

Inappropriate?I am unable to connect to the Webshots site which says Page Load Error. can someone help me with it.
-
Inappropriate?you need to download print screen,or quick screen capture so you can take a
picture of the picture.
these two pieces of software are totally free, and can be found at the link below
also you should be using the firefox,or seamonkey browser,
as internet explorer is totally unreliable.
people who post pictures on web shots do not have, and cannot say they are copy righted,as they are posting them for the world to see and copy.
if they don't want people using their pictures, then they should not be posting
them on web shots,or flicker.

Inappropriate?Use Ultimate Webshots Converter to take the files and convert them to jpg images. It works great and you don't have to mess with screen shots. It will even name the images the same as the title you see on webshots all automatically. Works on the "old" compilations and the newer wb1 format as well as others.
It's a free utility. Download it here:
