Frequent down-times and maintenance windows and there is no heads up whatsoever for even scheduled outages! Agreed the hosting is cheap, sadly the service is cheaper!

All outages are listed online at http://netstatus.westhost.com/. We always send out e-mail announcements in advance for all scheduled server maintenance. For prolonged outages due to emergency/unexpected maintenance, we also send out a followup e-mail to explain the situation and its resolution. Without any specifics, I can't comment on why you haven't been receiving our notifications. Are you sure that the contact information you've provided to WestHost -- specifically your e-mail address -- is valid and is NOT and e-mail address at your own WestHost-hosted domain name (obviously you should use Gmail or some other external e-mail account as your contact information for your WestHost account)? You can visit https://corp2.westhost.com/account/ to update your contact information. Are your sure that the e-mails we send are not mistakenly arriving in your Spam or Junk Mail folder?
