How do I forward my WestHost e-mail address to my Yahoo Mail account?

The short answer is: You don't! :-)

But fear not, because Yahoo's Mail Accounts supports remote POP access. Instead of forwarding mail from WestHost to Yahoo (and risking having your forwarded messages blocked or marked as spam), you should instead configure Yahoo to automatically fetch messages from WestHost. Follow the simple steps below to access your WestHost e-mail account from within Yahoo:

1. Login to your Yahoo Mail account.


2. Click on Options, then Mail Options.
   
   


3. Click on Accounts, then "Add or edit an account". (Note: If you are using the older Yahoo Mail interface, your options page may be displayed differently. In this case, click on "Mail Accounts".)
   
   


4. Click on "Add".
   
   


5. Click on "Configure Account Manually".
   
   


6. Enter a name of your choosing to identify this account. Under Sending Mail, enter your name and your WestHost e-mail address. Leave the "Reply To" section blank. Under Receiving Mail, enter mail.yourdomain.com as the mail server, enter your full WestHost e-mail address as the username, and your e-mail password into the space provided for password. Choose an indicator color and the folder where you want the messages delivered. Under options, uncheck "Leave mail on POP server" (unless you want a copy of messages to remain on the WestHost account as ewll) and "Retrieve new messages only" (so that all existing mail is imported into Yahoo). Then click "Save Changes" to continue.
   
   


7. Click "Send Verification".
