Why are you not really supporting some local businesses?

Whole Foods is always claiming that they support local businesses,yet Whole Foods is 15 miles away from the publisher of an organic-related magazine (Naturally Good Magazine), and yet I have to travel 50 miles to go to Earth Fare and pick it up. I contacted the editor of the magazine and asked why, and they said that Whole Foods said they have to go through some big corporation in another state; that corporation doesn't want them. What happened to your philosophies?
