Why the rude customer service in San Mateo & Palo Alto stores?
Why do employees in San Mateo and Palo Alto stores have such bad attitudes towards customers (i.e., produce guy, who glares at customers entering San Mateo store instead of returning their greeting; grumpy, gruff cashiers at both stores w/strikingly resentful attitudes; sarcastic Palo Alto meatcutter; San Mateo store manager who remarked that a long line of customers waiting at customer service counter would "just have to keep waiting" because she's too busy)?? It seems these employees feel justified in their disdain for and actually resent Whole Foods customers and would rather we not shop at their stores (which is now a strong consideration)!

Inappropriate?Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear that you've had these experiences at our Palo Alto and San Mateo stores. As a company, satisfying and delighting our customers is one of our Core Values and to hear that you've been treated with anything but the utmost respect is definitely not in line with our principles. I have shared your comments with the Northern California regional office, to which the stores report, so they can address these concerns with the store leadership teams at both locations. Should you ever encounter another situation of this kind please ask to speak directly to a member of the Store Leadership Team so they can address it immediately.
I truly hope we better serve you in the future.

Inappropriate?I had a problem at the whole foods in Tustin at the district. The person was Nathan. I was so disgusted by the way he treated us. I think he might be racist.

Inappropriate?EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE in Palo Alto WF! The cashier was arguing with us about the price for tomatoes and called her manager only when we asked her. When the manager came up she said VERY LOUDLY in front of the annoyed line "They don't want it anymore. It's too expensive for them". WTF??????? Why should I pay more for her mistake? It was very insulting. Finally, the manager could find the real price for those tomatoes and give us full refund and tomatoes for free as we were right.
Whole Foods in Palo Alto should do something with their bad service. I really want to see it changing. If not... well I vote with my dollar and spread the word especially when I feel fooled for no reason. Bad reputation won't attract many customers...
