Implement a "Chat" feature

Ya That can be a very good thing, just add up IRC or XMPP chat protocol like jabber or all in one like Meebo ,may be.

Wibiya should join http://www.meebo.com/communityim/ for the IM support . here all website can interact with other websites community and Meebo already support Yahoo, Facebook, Gtalk, and many other IMs so existing user can use that IM user name too..

ideally case scenario for chat:

1/3 or 1/4th of bar shows last chat of irc room (or meebo, users choice)
click expands more functions and or allows posting without expanding.

key is not having to log in to see engagement. if chats are happening, last message should be updating. perfect enticement..

Guys check out http://www.intomobile.com They have a widget similar to wibiya and they support meebo chat. There is a supported by meebo tag, think it's high time wibiya also started the chat app.

Like whats the hold up with the chat app anyway? and what is Wibiya without communication, toolbars are 10 a penny, Wibiya better get a chat app soon or Ill be looking for something that does...

There is a great open source chat module in beta called Zopim. It would be great to implement this into the toolbar.

In fact - I was looking here to see if I can modify the css of Wibiya because it is loading over my Zopim bar...

I have integrated the cometchat with 3 social website already. Its very easy as long as you have some knowledge of PHP and MYSQL with some javascript.
If you need some help let me know. This is the FACEBOOK like chat and you dont need any other server side software like the jabber or meebo IRC.

It will look exactly as facebook.

My help is not guaranteed as I have lots of work, But I promise to spare an hour or two depending on the site.

A chat feature would be awesome if it can send IM's to my Yahoo or AIM directly from the Wibya toolbar on my blog. I currently have a Yahoo chat window on my sidebar but it's halfway down the page and people either don't see it or they ignore it. I hope this can be put in and if it can I'm excited to see what it will be like.

I was told by Hagar Rips "Indeed , chat will be one of the many features in the next version which will be released soon."
