Does wibiya popup ads randomly?
some of our visitors are complaining that our site has popup ads, which we do not utilize. The only dynamic or external application running on our site besides google analytics is wibiya.
I couldn't find any information about this on wibiya website... thanks!

Inappropriate?Hi,
I'm sorry for the delay in replying.
I assure you that Wibiya does NOT popup any ads, I don't know what are your users referring to but its definitely not coming from us.
Could it be that you are using the notifier function and your users think it an ad?
Let me know if there is anything else we can help you with.
Best regards,

Inappropriate?Hi Shanna,
We have no affiliation to any pop ups?
Could you send us a screen shot of what you are seeing?

Hi. I removed the toolbar and the link the I suspected that was giving me pop up (link to my other blog). I then re-added the tool bar and the link. I haven't had another pop up since then. If I find that it happens again, I'll let you you know. Thank you. -
Hello! I just wanted to report back that the fix I did, as mentioned above, may have worked. I was able to isolate which link was giving me the pop ups, so it was easy. Not sure, however, if it was the link or the tool bar since I removed and re-added them both. It's been almost three weeks and I have not gotten a pop up since my "fix" nor has anyone advised me that they were getting any. I'll keep you posted and hopefully this did the trick cause I love the tool bar. ;) Have a great week! ~Shanna -
Inappropriate?I have same problem. Since i add your toolbar, my site is showing random popups with advertising.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I've noticed this as well... I don't know exactly what the cause is, but I don't run very many other scripts on my site. Either way, it's disturbing.
I'd like to think that there are no popup ads, but they're there.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I discovered the offending code as well. turns out someone had used the whos.amung.us SCRIPT instead of the static IMAGE code to add a counter to our page.
the whos.amung.us javascript code DOES ADD POPUPS to your site! We changed it to the static image, and now have no other issues.
sorry wibiya, this was absolutely not your doing!
I’m happy and apologetic

Inappropriate?Whos.amung.us display popup ads
I used amung.us online visitors gadget on my 2 sites www.realwebsiteworth.com and www.all4divx.com
This is our conversation:
>You started to display popup ads on our sites.
> You was realy good service. Now you are history.
This is a problem, what is your URL?
This is not something we are doing on purpose, some organizations have access to our widgets and if they are injecting ad code we will be dealing with them, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
whos.amung.us
>I've already removed widget from all of my sites. I don't want to disturbe my visitors with popups.
>This http://whos.amung.us/stats/wx5mq9jr93f1/ is url for my most visited site
>There is also another strange things. This script http://wau.tynt.com/javascripts/Tynt...r=wx5mq9jr93f1 is loaded too when your script is loaded
>I hope you understand and i hope you will fix this soon because you are realy great service.
The wau.tynt.com one is valid and we know about that as it is ours, it is not the problem, but thanks for letting us know.
I've segregated your widget so that nothing else can be loaded with it, but I absolutely understand your position for not adding it back - I apologize for this situation and we are remedying it right away, and I really appreciate you contacting us.
whos.amung.us
They now fix it, but i still doesn't want to put it back.
