Flash objects such as videos from YouTube or Vimeo will, by default overlap any HTML element within the blog – including Wibiya's Toolbar (see example image below)
Wibiya is working on a simple solution that will fix that problem automatically.
You can also fix this problem by a simple and easy modification to the embedded flash code:
There are two elements you need to add to your video code to override this issue.
Step 1:
Add
directly after your opening "object" tag.
Step 2:
Add
within your embed tag.
Here is an example of how your video code might look with the fix in place:
This fix works in IE6+, Firefox 2+, Safari, Chrome and Opera.

Hey Aniruddh, I see you have the wibiya toolbar working on your site in Internet Explorer. Did you have to do anything to make that work in IE or did it just work for you from the beginning? -
Hi Chris. I had problem with Opera Browser In past but I never had problem with IE but let me tell you in some IE version it appears and in some version it having problem. which version are you using? I'm having version 8 and I just checked but unfortunately I'm not able to see the wibiya bar :(

I'm having issues with all IE browsers including IE7, but when I look at your site in the same IE 7 browser it looks great and works perfectly..

wow i'm not able to see it in IE 8 may be it works with IE 7 & but if you able to see the bar on my site then should able to see on your site too..that strange...try to reinstalll the cods again...

Inappropriate?Slideshare's embedable product overlays the toolbar. (http://www.slideshare.net/). Have a look at the attached screenshot. Likely a Flash or related problem which needs to be properly ordered.

Inappropriate?i am a bit compalcent with this "hack" as it is so called... no one says what flash code to edit... and my wibya toolbar is a wordpress plugin I don't have embedded code there at all... and i tried adding this opaque-ness to my opther flash items and it made no change....1 Comment Add a comment

Unfortunately, if you work with the WP plugin you will not be able to use that line of code. You can add the toolbar to your WP theme through geting the code from the "Other Platforms" section, preforming the needed changes and adding it to your WP theme.

It's not a hack, it's just another way of displaying flash objects.
unfortunately, YouTube embedded object is not friendly to other overlay widgets by default.
you can try putting "transparent" instead of "opaque" it sometimes do the trick. -

the Object tag is the flash object that overlay the toolbar.
for example, if you embed a video from YouTube and its blocking the toolbar, you need to modify the code of this flash object (and add the wmode parameter) -

Inappropriate?Hi there great stuff on the "param name="wmode" value="opaque" although this doesnt seem to work on Firefox (Versoin 3.0.14) its not a Wibiya problem direct by a problem with firefox layering flash on the top of everything.
If anyone has a fix I would love to know about it. Tried z-index but that didnt work either for some reason.

Inappropriate?When is the real fix going to come out? I love the toolbar but I tell you it is getting extremely old adding the fix to every youtube video. I actually am going to remove it because of the time I have spent fixing videos. I have to go into every users posts and fix them for them as asking another user to do this other than an admin would be too much I think. Please notify me when the fix is complete. Inappropriate?@wibiya: A big thanks for the infos & hack you guys already delivered regarding this issue.
Now shouldn't we start with the cause of that issue, which is the non-standard HTML code delivered by most if not all those video services (yutub etc)? I mean heal the cause of problem with standard html code, and no need to work hard for this @ wibiya since the problem vanished.

It's an odd problem because youtube is the only video that doesn't work currently.
But if I ever have any issues with youtube videos I usually can have an element be higher in the z index and it fixes it.
I'm not a programmer at all so even to ask you guys this is probably insulting because the plugin is just too rad that you guys didn't automatically think about this.
I went ahead and reinstalled it. Definitely looking forward to for a fix though.

Sure, z-index is the first concern, you can see that wibiya elements have a very high z-index values.
Unfortunately, some browsers render flash as top layer without the extra WMODE parameter. -
