wordpress-mu and wibiya?
Well first of all thank you for the invite. I was able to get the plugin installed and running without any issues.
I do have one question though, as I did not see it anywhere in these forums.
I am running wordpress-mu 2.8.4a (newest stable version).
If you are not familiar with wp-mu, it's basically wordpress multi-user. Meaning my users signup and can also get their own blog using subdomains, or even domain-mapping so they can use their own url.
Instead of just using the wibiya bar on just one of the blogs, which is what I had to do. I would love to set it up so that it's a 'system wide' available plugin for everyone to use.
The users would need the options in the plugin to add their own blog information, as each blog would have a different feed, twitter/facebook/etc usernames
I would also like to have a 'master' wibiya bar, that runs on the primary domain. This would then allow me to search all of the wordpress 'subsites' within my install, among other neat ideas.
Is any of this possible with wibiya yet?
If not do you have wp-mu available to test on? (I can provide a setup if needed).
anyhow, thanks again, I've been looking forward to this for some time now.

Inappropriate?Has adapting the toolbar for wordpress-mu even been considered yet?
Here is my problem that I am having using the bar with wordpress-mu.
I registered the bar under my 'root domain' http://example.com
I then added the plugin to a blog on wpmu in a subdomain 'http://sub.example.com'
That worked out just fine, and wibiya did indeed pick up the most recent posts from the sub.example.com
the problem is when I add the bar to another 'http://sub2.domain.com' it is showing the posts from the first subdomain and not the new one.
So I guess what I don't understand is why wibiya would find the articles from the first sub domain, but not the second.
Why would the bar be showing articles from the first sub-domain and not the second sub-domain.
Why would wibiya not be picking up 'all posts' from all sub-domains. Meaning I could use the toolbar as a 'network' toolbar showing posts from all subdomains.
Or better yet, each sub-domain would have it's own totally independent bar, not even being aware of the other subdomains.
I guess that lacking a better way of asking the question, I do not understand the logic that the wibiya bar is using to pick up the articles in question.
Please explain.
thanks -
Inappropriate?Hi Shawn,
We are working on creating a master account that can send invites to differnt user, we fully understand the need here,
This Master account feature will take some time to create, but once it is available, we will be more thanhappy to test it out with your network.
right now, the bar is "one domain" oriented, which means it cannot identify the domain it is on, and replace the info within the apps.
Best,
Daniel

Inappropriate?Has there been any progress for wordpress-mu?
I'd love to see a plugin that I could throw into my mu-plugins folder that auto activates for all my subdomain blogs. Really it shouldn't be that difficult.... -
Inappropriate? There is progress on that issue, our next release will include that feature as well, it will take about a month.
Let me check out if we can boost things up for you.

Inappropriate?Great Product! I work for a real estate website company. We have about 500 sites running on MU and we'd love to implement this on our network, but as other have pointed out would need a more generic plugin with a backend option for each website to plugin their toolbarID. Thanks
