Lost and Confusedf in Texas
I am new to winamp and am a bit lost and confused. I am under the impression the music I play is available to others on the net. If this is true how do I ensure my music is being played on the net so others may enjoy it.
I am an old geezer and am trying to learn how this works. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Also, is there anyway to contact the company and talk to a company representative?

Inappropriate?Hey there,
Here's a little history:
Nullsoft (creator of winamp) and Winamp were acquired by AOL in 1999. The code was then open sourced in 2005.
I stopped using winamp 6 or 7 years ago, but I'm pretty sure your music isn't available to others on the net.
You can use their contact form, or check out their support pages.
Good luck!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I still prefer winamp over any other media player and believe me am picky about internet site functions, software, useability, ease of use and more. It plays my music and my library, let's me browse and rip songs from mp3blogs, has the best codecs for sound playback including Thompson mp3pro.
Also, recently found that it burns cds hella fast and with the best sound so far.
I have paid a one time fee for lifetime subscription to the full monty winamp package.
Regarding your thoughts about broadcasting through the internet to all your friends, it is part of the nullsoft package of software clients and the winamp outsource, SHOUTCAST. Another similiar product based on same open source is ICECAST.
Find a winamp plug-in and with a short form that is some very limited bandwidth, and the download of SAMS Broadcast
er [Freeware version may have different name for one channel broadcast but same manufacturer.].
I’m stoked on winamp.
