..the email header on repeated is not telling me which post I need look at. See attached image which is showing me TWO posts but not telling me which comment I need to review.
Not sure what's happening here but I am receiving repeated comments emails that lead me to stuff I've already seen. Also...

Inappropriate?Sorry no - 1st there is no link and second it is bundled to 2 different posts in GMail. So even if GMail isn't 'understanding' the thread, I would still not know where to go.

Inappropriate?1. Have posted a request in the WordFrame (developer) task system to check why links do not appear in gmail emails. (Ref: WF1-1897).
2. As to why you get two emails for the same comment the reason is explained below, with the help of Boz at WordFrame:
Email alert subscriptions could be considered in two groups - community based subscriptions and system based subscriptions.
The first group includes subscriptions for community posts, community comments, particular post comments, wiki and documents. Email notifications from these subscription types are sent from the corresponding community email (for IT Counts its itcount@ion.icaew.com).
The second group includes subscriptions for private messages and contributor comments (i.e. comments on user's posts and discussions). As these subscription types are system wide, they are sent from the root community email. The ION wide community email is help@icaew.com.
It's clearer exactly what this means if you go to the 'Email Notifications' section from the 'Admin' module in the 'My Network' page. There the notifications are dividied between group & user notifications.
Thus group notifications are sent via the group in question's email: itcount@ion.icaew.com
And user notifications sent via the root community email: help@icaew.com
