Screwing up other firefox addons!
I like the idea of this but installing it disabled some of my other far more crucial add-ons such as Firebug and TwitterFox, I've never seen an add on to cause so much widespread harm!

Inappropriate?I have both the plugins you mentioned installed but I'm not seeing any problems. Could you let me have some more information about the issue so I can try to replicate on my side.

Inappropriate?Hi Andy
Thanks for the prompt reply. Sure, after installing the add-on my TwitterFox 1.8.1 add icon disappeared completely and doesnt respond to Ctrl+Shift+I keyboard shortcut. The firebug 1.3.3 icon is still visible on the browser but again unresponsive to clicking and wont open from pop up menus, keyboard shortcuts or even from the tools menu in Firefox. I've removed SEO Blogger, disabled the two add-ons and re-enabled them to no avail. I guess my next stop is to remove them and re-install them. I also have a few Firebug extensions, Codeburner, FireFinder and PageSpeed. Also just noticed that another dev add on, Web Developer 1.1.6 has disappeared as well, this is a toolbar and menu add-on and its gone completely. This happened immediately after installing SEO Blogger and Firefox restarted.
Other Add-ons which are still ok: CoolPreview, CoolIris, AdBlocker, Evernote Web Clipper and .Net Framework Assistant - as you might have guessed I'm a web developer
Hope that helps

Inappropriate? Thanks for the detailed response and for the plugin information. We're going to look into this and try to replicate the problem.

Inappropriate?Hi Kieran,
what you are reporting is really strange.
I've installed all the add-ons you mentioned (quite a cool set of them you have) and then I've installed SEO Blogger extension.
And no problems there. I've tested this on Firefox 3.0.11 on Windows Vista and Ubuntu Linux.
As you are a web developer you are probably familiar with the Error Console (Tools/Error console) in Firefox. Can you see any strange message(s) there?
Thanks,
Radek Paviensky,

Inappropriate?Hi Radek
Some more background, I'm running Firefox 3.0.10 on Vista 64 Ultimate. I tend to have a number of tabs on the go at any given time, maybe 8-10. I've since uninstalled most of the add ons and re-installed them with the exception of SEO Blogger and all is fine. There was no error messages in the error console at the time, a few declaration and property warnings relating to other sites on tabs (quite a few in fact) but thats it.
If you like I'll re-install SEO Blogger and try re-create it again and let you know the sequence?
Regards

Inappropriate? Thanks for cooperation, I really appreciate that. It would be great if you try to install SEO Blogger again.
That's quite strange that your Error console is empty - when I install all the extensions but SEO Blogger there are a few error messages there (not related to SEO Blogger of course). Maybe you would navigate to about:config page and:
- set preference option javascript.options.showInConsole to true
- set preference option extensions.logging.enabled to true
this change of FF preferences shows more information in the Error console.
I would recommend a backup before installing SEO Blogger again - you can make a backup of you FF environment by simply copying the profile folder (and restore it in the case of disaster). Information where to find your profile folder is explained on this page: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles.

Inappropriate? No problem, we've all had issues with apps and its good to get some insight and feedback.
I already had javascript.options.showInConsole set to true but have now extension logging on as well.
I'll clear the current logging and re-install SEO Blogger and post any results - it will be a few hours before I can get around to this

Inappropriate?Hi Radek
I finally got a chance to retry the SEO Blogger install again, this time the install went fine and I got different behaviour which I expect is the expected behaviour.
Steps followed:
Backup of FF profile
Cleared the error console
Installed the SEO Blogger add-on and restarted Firefox
Navigation on SEO Blogger changed to a 4 step instruction screen - this did not previously happen
"W" add-on item appeared at bottom right of the screen - this did not previously happen
The error console has messages, much of these from the restart of FF including a warning on your stylesheet I suspect:

Inappropriate?Hi Kieran,
I'm really happy that it works now and I'd like to thank you for your effort.
I would guess that it was some of the known Firefox bug and the usual "cure" for it is to refresh the extension cache (by deleting them or reinstalling extensions).
The errors in console are perhaps not related to SEO-Blogger. It is a known problem of Firefox itself. I've just discussed it with one of the Firebug developer and he's confirmed it. So it is normal.
The warning of unknown CSS property is related not to the extension but to the server pages - I'll pass this info to our web developers.
Thank you again and I hope that you will enjoy SEO-Blogger
Radek
I’m happy developer
