problems in Wuala

For me, Wuala doesn't upload/download files that are above about 300 KB. With files smaller than that everything works perfectly, but larger files are neither uploaded nor downloaded.

Downloads appear in the download-window, but progress indicators stay at 0%.

Added files get stuck in status "Backup 100%" (greyed out), upload-window is empty.

Windows Vista Home Premium; accessing the net through a router, connection check says my connection is suitable for trading though.

wuala is currently partially down as we're having problems with one server. will be up again soon. please be patient. thanks!

Since the introduction of the Fragments2 folder about a week ago, the Locally Stored Data figure on my client has remained unchanged at 3.8GB. However, new files continue to be created in Fragments2, and the total space it currently uses is 6.7GB.

I have Windows Ultimate 64 bit. My Computer starts wuala perfect. But after a few minutes it crashes and i can't use it. So i must always restart wuala :(
I've tried the Mode for windows XP SP2 but it makes the same...
Can somebody help me?

For most image files, when I attempt to start download. I get an error dialog that says: "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java head space". During the first 30 minutes or so I didn't have this problem.

They're all rather small files, being images. Restarting wuala doesn't help. increasing the limit for memory jvm can use from 256 to 512 makes no difference.

According to top (and gexmap) wuala is only using 77 megabytes of memory. There is also nearly 1GB of memory "free" so that can't be a problem either.

I'm running wuala alpha linux 65 on a debian testing system with java installed from sun-java6-jre package.

Update: The problem seems to occur on images, not on music or videos. Some images seem to work. I can't figure out a pattern though.

I've been stuck in the yellow online-state for a few days now.

My connection is suitable for trading, so I'm a bit puzzled about that. Is there anything I can do to reach the green online status? Restarting does not seem to help.

The computer is in the router's DMZ, so all connections should be forwarded.

In Options->Local Data->Local Cache I set the Local Cache Size to 4GB. However, underneath, the "Used" line says that I'm using up 9.5GB of cache. I verified this by browsing to the local cache folder (which I defined in the control beneath). The size of that folder is 9.6 GB. Clicking on "Empty" ("Leeren" in German) doesn't solve the problem.

How come the limit of 4GB is not working here?
Also I recognized that all my uploads stop, once I click on the "Empty" button. I have to restart Wuala to make the Upload start again

trade storage error
This prevents me trading storage

Did a files availability check on my groups and all hell broke loose since yesterday, 3 unavailable files, 2 files could not be checked, i had folders/files that cant be deleted and Wuala spawns transaction failed 153 - transaction failed because of a previous failed transaction on the same items messages, Checkcryptree function on my group says problem Element never existed (952,4063,18) 2 times. i copied first and then deleted the .db files in meta folder but nothing happened.. whats going on?

I have lost my password for wua.la and unfortunatly can't seem to recover it or reset it.

After entering the recovery screen and entering the recovery code I get the error message

I'm having problems uploading large files (for example 4.4GB). Wuala starts encrypting it, does it for a while, creates temp.local which eventually rises up to 4.4GB size and then I receive error message: Unexpected end of file (or something like that). And that's it. File doesn't get uploaded. And the temp.local file stays in Data dir.

Haven't tried with file sizes in between, but ~1GB files are encrypted/uploaded without problems.

Version 46 (Linux), but I talked to my colleague who's using PowerMac, he said that he had the same problem.

When you have Fusion running on the Mac, there are 2 extra network interfaces: vmnet1 and vmnet8. For some reason, Wuala is using these as the origination IP address instead of using en0/en1 depending on which one is up.

How can I kick Wuala into using the current default IP interface?

kann mir einer sagen, seit wann sich WUALA aus meinem Programme-(bzw. Einstellungen-)Verzeichnis verpisst und im Profilverzeichnis eingenistet hat?! Hab's gerade eben erst bemerkt ...

Dort gehört es definitiv NICHT hin!

Seitdem ist mein Profilpfad von ca. 100 MB auf über 600 MB aufgebläht worden, was – wie jeder weiss, der regelmässig Support macht – je nach Umgebung zu riesigen Problemen führt.

Der Standard-Pfad für die Speicherung der Daten von Wuala sollte also nicht auf den Profil-Pfad, sondern auf den in den Umgebungsvariablen festgelegten TEMP-Pfad zeigen!

Hier ein kleines Beweisfoto, dass "alle anderen" auch wissen, dass man den Profilpfad nicht mit riesigen Datenmengen zumüllt:



Aha, mit Wuala klappt's offenbar nicht, also muss doch wieder ImageShack ran:

Every 10 or so seconds when Wuala is running it will use 100% of my CPU capacity. Which is highly annoying to say the least.

This is happening while i'm not up or downloading files.

I'm using Wuala now for a week. I'm getting the status "Online", no problem, but only the yellow one. Sometimes, very rare, it gets the green one. But that happen maybe two times since i downloaded Wuala.

It's not able to connect with the external IP and if i try to test it, I'm only get this result:

Problem: Could not contact ping server A

Port is forwoarded on my router and i'm not using any firewall! Someone may has an idea??

einer der neuen Funktion ist auch, dass man Sachen an Leute schicken kann, die nicht Wuala User sind. Bei mir funktioniert das nicht.

Wenn ich ein Ordner freigebe mit oder ohne Passwort, wird es immer angezeigt, dass es den Ordner nicht gibt oder privat ist.

Hat noch jemand das Problem?
