Datensicherheit. Rückschlüsse auf die IP ́s der Nutzer.
Eine heiss diskutierte Frage an die Betreiber von Wuala ist, inwieweit sich auf den Servern der Benutzrname bestimmten IP ́s zuordnen lässt. z. B. durch logs etc. pp.
- Wird z. B. der Benutzername beim login im Klartext übertragen?
- oder der Benutzername im Zusammenhang mit der IP beim login gespeichert?
Wenn ja - erfolgt diese Speicherung verschlüsselt oder nicht?
etc. pp.
Ein wichtiger Bestandteil von Datensicherheit ist nun mal auch Anonymität. Soweit es den benutzten Usernamen und die Email angeht ist hier natürlich jeder selbst verantwortlich. Aber über die IP ist eine Zuordnung zu einem Computer/Haushalt immer sehr einfach für .. Hacker, die es darauf anlegen.
Daher wäre es interessant einmal zu erfahren, wie die Konfiguration auf der Serverseite aussieht. Ob es hier die Möglichkeit gibt, bestimmten Usernamen über die Daten die anfallen einem real existierenden Menschen zuzuordnen...
online-zeit sinkt obwohl ich online bin. test ergibt, dass die verbindung zum speicher-tausch geeignet sei, trotzdem bleibt das rote kreuz. schon seit tagen ... von 21 % online auf 17 % gefallen ...
Hey folks, I am new to Wuala and donwloaded a file from a friends group, after this I wanted to keep this file on my HD, so I thought I just could copy it from the Cache to another place I like and rename it. But I was stupid as it is still encoded, so I could not open it. Then I renamed it to the original Cache name and placed it back, but Wuala did not recognize it as downloaded. I know it is no prob to down it again. But I just want to know if I can get Wuala to recognize it again as already downloaded.

Seit dem neuesten Wuala-Update. Mein System ist ein Ubuntu 8.04 64-Bit, in der wualarc steht:
Here's a scenario: I share out space on my hard drive (say 5GB) to the grid.
That space is then used up by the grid, so what happens to that data when I uninstall wuala? Would I need to wait until the data is all re-assigned?
I've received an invitation code tonight, but I wasn't able to launch the Wuala GUI because I'm using the 64-bit version of Ubuntu Hardy Heron Alpha 2. Are there any further information about this problem and when do you expect it to be fixed?

Hallo, ich hab DSL 3k und mein DL-Speed bei wuala schwankt stark von 48kbs bis die maximal 312kbs und das alle paar Sekunden!
Liegts am Server an der Datei oder an mir?

when i download something, and the progress is 100% (finished) it needs a time, until it is REALLY finish (=on my harddisk or cache). I can say that per 10MB it need 1 Minute more. It's like a "finalzing" i guess. So when i download a 100MB Clip, i have to wait 10 Minutes after download, until it is really here.
Can someone tell me why, and how i can solve this long times? On Images or Songs, it's nearly nothing (few secs), but on clips it's really really bad. On 700MB DVD Rips i would have to wait 70 minutes for "finalizing"!! (not tested, only tested with 10-100 MB files, but 10MB file need 1 minute, 50mb file ~5minute and 100mb file ~10minute).

Hab einen Freund eingeladen und erhat sich angemeldet und ich hab keinenzusätzlichen Speicher bekommen. Oder dauert das immer ein paar Tage bis dies passiert.
Maybe that's because my connection is "not suitable for trading storage", but... I cannot find a screen showing the availability of the content I uploaded. Where is my file? Do you have a server for storage? Thanks! BTW: Wuala is a great idea!

I have a question about "my friends" and "my groups" : if I share a file with a friend or with a group, will the pieces of this file be spread across members that are not in my friends list or in the group?
