Directory Hard Links in Groups Last reply on May 09, 2008 20:12.
I want to be able to either:
1: See links to directories in the tree view
2: Be able to have the same directory in my user folder as in the group. ie changes to one would change the other. -

Business version of Wuala Last reply on May 09, 2008 10:00.
The nicest thing about wuala for me, apart from file availability and encryption, is the network drive option for Windows computers. This is because it is transparent to the user and requires no additional steps to work with files, you simply manipulate the files as if they were on a local drive. In a business environment this would be great because the user needs no additional training to use the program.
What I would like to see is a version of the client for mobile business users with the following features:
-Disable 'world' access so that business documents cannot be shared with the outside world
-Enhanced sharing permissions and access control
-Better Windows x64 network drive integration and Linux FUSE support
-Sync to local 'master copy' of files, on company intranet server.
I think businesses would gladly pay for such a version because of small infrastructure & training costs. -

Info Balloon Last reply on May 07, 2008 13:22.
I think that errors about file operations: Timed-Out, Failed to create... Should instead be info balloons instead of popups (At least for File System Integration). The popup sometimes doesn't get focus and is behind everything and on windows you have to take a moment to realize that it is a wuala popup. -

let wuala observe directory for automatic uploads? Last reply on May 07, 2008 12:57.
hi,
havent found anything useful yet to my idea so i just post it.
how about letting wuala "observe" one directory for any new files (f.ex. images) and then upload them automatic. in googles picasa there is such a function which observes the directory and whenever a new image hits the directory it gets indexed. same function for wuala would be awesome! (making backups would be much much easier...)
if there is already such a function.. i havent seen it (maybe too blind..)

Current Task Status Last reply on May 07, 2008 12:44.
It would be nice if in the status area (Where it shows transactions, Encrypting status, etc.) it would show what the application is doing. Like "Uploading mycooltestfile.txt (48%)" and "Maintaining mycoolmusic.mp3 (99%) - 239 Files Remaining"

Folder Autosync - Local to Remote Last reply on May 02, 2008 17:45.
Very excited about the linux client. Just tried it out and it seems to work so far, at least as far as uploading and downloading files is concerned. Anyway ...
I was experimenting with the application, and it doesn't really work as I expected. I set up an initial folder to upload and it was all uploaded fine. However when I added a file to the local directory, it wasn't synced up to the Wuala repository. I looked around for options to do this, but couldn't see one. I think this is a key feature, especially as I get more and more files uploaded -- I don't really want to have to remember which files I have to upload.
Did I miss something? Maybe an option to have folders which just Store things, and folders with are actively synced with their local counterpart would be a good idea. Perhaps this is already in the pipeline? Maybe as an additional tweak, it would be nice if you could specify two-way or one-way sync.
