Filesystem Integration on Windows Last reply on May 12, 2008 07:46.

File system integration is a great feature. It allows to directly access and stream large files before they are completely downloaded and is the basis of the planned write access. Unfortunately, it is hard to make it work reliably on Windows. Often, it takes one or two minutes until Windows can connect to the Wuala drive. The latest update brings some improvements and compatibility with 64-Bit systems (read below on how I could made it work on my 64-Bit Vista SP1). I'll link from the Wuala settings directly to this article so this is the right place to discuss issues and tricks on how to make it work.

    Wuala group in Wuala

Finally, we've created a Wuala group in Wuala :) We'll add some content there over the next weeks. To start with, we have blog and press reviews, faq, photos, and the release notes (the new place for changelogs :). What else would you like to see there?

Most importantly, however, the group is for you to participate. You can post bugs, screenshots and ideas directly into the appropriate folder. We'll check them frequently (hey, after all, we get a green notification ;-) and copy urgent ones over into our internal Wuala group.

Once the group has interesting content (and ones the UI scales for groups to have thousands and thousands of members), we will notify all users. For now, we don't push it.

New groups - Clean up old ones Last reply on May 07, 2008 14:03.

With one of the last releases, we have completely rebuilt the group feature. You can now post files directly into groups, add members and set roles and permissions.

If you haven't done that yet, we really encourage you to check it out. Also, if you have created a group a long time ago, at a time when only links were allowed, it might be a good idea to delete the content or the whole group and start anew.

If you have troubles deleting old groups, contact us and we will help you.
