hi there,

lately i get a lot of these errors in the about dialobox (win32, latest builds) on networks with upnp routers when wuala client wants to check if theres a newer build out there...

if i close logout/restart wuala it downloads the latest build anyways even if the check in the about box failed.

would be great if the checking for a new build would be more reliable (maybe other protocol, triggering it directly with a button or a url and so on....)

maybe it has also to do with congested networks (even the local lan or the gateway to the inet), or nat-overloads at the gateway or such thing.

somehow i suspect that the versioncheck is also performed by means of udp rather than a tcp check of a browsing of some url/xml/file because the failed message turns up so very quickly/instantly on the client... there seems to be no timeout or something.

there seems to be a long standing bug with wuala (seen on my XP at least)

every time I start wuala, all browsing related apps are useless (as in not working, unable to load pages) = firefox + opera

trillian seems to go further after that (still connected and exchanging messages) but I haven't tried to restart it while wuala client was running

this "feature" stops me from using wuala more often (since I don't want always to kill my browsing experience :-)

I have no idea how have you managed to accomplish this with java, but... thumbs down; and no, wuala client is not doing much trafic when it is started

even when the client is sort of idling (transfers below 1KB/s) the browsers are useless

After uploading some pictures (jpg or svg) some of their icons are displayed as expected, i.e. as preview. Some are just displayed as black square (rare cases show a picture icon).
This behavior doesn't seem to depend on file size or file type (both jpg and svg are recognized as pictures in their detailed information).

I mainly used Wuala to transfer files from work back home.
Last week contents weren't synchronal anymore and starting any upload or download caused the message "1 unconfirmed change" (or how is it called in the English version?).

Anyway, yesterday I deinstalled the programme and installed everything from new. I could log in put somehow Wua.la seems to be in a paralleluniverse.

All folders are marked "The requested item is empty, maybe it has been deleted or you are not logged in". I therefore cannot even open them. The files should be available though, since I can use them at home.

I tried to create a new folder and go this error:

I tried to post a file to a group, by right clicking on it and choosing 'Add to group'. Then i received following pop-up message:

'com.wuala.domain.meta.storage.transaction.exception.TransactionExecutionException: 110 (zB)
Cause: 110 (zB)'

From that time, when I try to change local access rights, I receive a po-up window called 'Transaction 110 failed!' with text '110 (zB)' only.

Am Freitag oder Samstag wollte ich mal testweise eine Gruppe erstellen. Aber es kam nur diese Meldung:
"Die Gruppe konnte leider nicht erstellt werden.
Cause: Sie kön hötens 10 Gruppen grü Um neue Grüzu kön, müSie alte löen.
Ich bin zwar Mitglied von neun Gruppen, habe aber nur die Gruppen Deutschland, Franken, GoogleWatchBlog, Mozilla Firefox und GoogleWatchBlog Leser gegrü in der Summe also füm Großn und ganzen ist es mir egal, aber das muss ja nicht sein.

BTW: Meiner Meinung nach gehö dass "Grü im Satz "Um neue Grüzu kön, ..." kleingeschrieben. ;)

I got a dialog box saying "116 (jO)" when I tried to added images to a folder. I am not out of room, because I can upload music and documents.

Ich habe vor rund 7 Tagen das Backup in den Einstellungen deaktiviert. Grund war: Meine Verbindung riss stäig ab. Heute hab ich das Backup wieder aktiviert, aber auch heute riss der Connect zum Internet ab. Also wieder raus damit!

Kleine Anmerkung: Die Verbindung zum Internet riss nicht, der Router hatte trotzdem noch den Online Status, aber das anzeigen von Seiten war unmöch.

Deutsch fät mir bei diesem Problem eindeutig leichter als Englisch:
Im Moment ist wuala bei mir auf die Taskleiste minimiert, also neben der Uhr. In diesem Zustand liegt die Speicherauslastung von wuala bei 64.000 KB, Zum Vergleich maximierter Firefox mit 5 Tabs hat bei mir im Moment 87.000 KB. Soweit ist es ja noch ok, nur immerwieder schieß die CPU Last von wuala von 2-3% auf 78 % oder hö und friert damit alles andere ein. Das tritt auch auf wenn kein Datenein- bzw. -ausgang stattfindet. Hier noch ein Vergleich: AntiVir lät bei mir Hintergrund und braucht grad mal 15.000 KB.

Das muss man bis zu BETA auf jeden Fall lö. Problem tritt auch bei Freunden von mir auf

The program works perfect, but is on Yellow Online every time. When I start check connection, wuala tell me:

Problem: Could not contact ping server A

I am trying to remove a user from my group - I click remove, use the default message, and click OK. The transaction shows in the bar at the bottom, and then nothing happens!
