Wenn ich eine Gruppe verlasse oder auch vom Admin dort entfernt werde, bleiben meine Dateien dann in der Gruppe erhalten oder werden sie ebenfalls entfernt?
I have a Mac used by two users. If the first user opens a Wuala account, the second one cannot anymore: this happens because all files under /User/Shared/WualaSharedData belong to the first user and will not have write permission for the second user.
In particular, when the second user starts Wuala, a Java exception is raised:
...
Caused by: quickbase.exception.BasicFileOperationDatabaseException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Data/Meta/MetaB.lock (Permission denied)
at quickbase.internal.files.Lock.<init>(Lock.java:34)
...
Can this be fixed? Is there a quickfix? Thanks,
Marco</init>
What can be deleted for different purposes in the Data folder? Eg, if I stop trading files what can be deleted. If i have a trasaction problem can i delete all the pendingtransaction files safely? etc.
I noticed that random mp3 files will not play. I opened the wuala gui and found that these files are now only 1k in length. I have the files all downloaded to my Windows XP machine and imported into iTunes over the W drive. I opened one of the 1k files in Notepad and found that it only contains the ID3 tag. I suspect at some point that iTunes decided to update the tag and the filesystem rewrote the entire file as opposed to just updating the tag.
Any ideas?
The file is clearly marked as downloaded in the UI so I'm not sure what else I can do.
my friend uploaded some files.
I own a group (let me call it A) A.
I right clicked on the files my friend uploaded and I chose
"Add to group" --> "A".
But then my Online Space decreased by the amount of the files i selected and added to my group.
My Question: I read that same files will not use any space if they were uploaded once.
So why does my onlice space decrease when adding my friend ́s uploaded files to my group ?
Hello! I've got a questen, hope my english isn't too bad..
Is there a possibility to upload files from a webserver into my account? Something like a remote upload with wuala? The point is, that I saved my personal data on a webserver to backup it, but now I'd like to backup them with wuala and don't want to download the whole files just to reupload..
When I copy files out of Wuala, what happens to the tags? Are they stored with the file as extended attributes (or resource forks)? Or, are they stored separately and only available within Wuala? It would be really cool if one could make available a bunch of files to a group of people, collaboratively tag them, and then copy them with the tags somewhere else.
I run the Wua.la on my mac and linux server.
Sou, I uploaded a file with the mac.
But were can I see the file, when I'm on my Linux server?
Or did I understand something wrong and I can't see the file?
thx for help
