About encryption when changing folder visibillity
I have a Question about how the Encryption works, especially in 2 use-cases:
1) I have a private folder. Only i can read it because only i have access to its key. Now i make it available for friends or the public, so the key is being shared. Now i change it back to private again. What happens now? Is the data re-encrypted? Could someone who previously got the key decrypt my private folder.
2) I copy a folder on wuala. Are the files physically copied and re-encrypted? Or is there just an internal link and the files are encrypted by the same key?

the whole sharing system is basically descriped here http://dcg.ethz.ch/publications/srds0.... A very short version: Every file has a uniqe key. This files key is encyrpted again with your personal key. When you share a file , only this file-key will be encrypted again with the personal key or group key of the persons you have shared it. This is a very short version und maybe not very 100% correct. ;) Afaik, there will be soon a blog-post about the this point, wich will be more detailed.
