The user agrees, that by making data public, the user grants Caleido a free, worldwide, non-commerical right of use of such data as well as the right of commercial use for marketing purposes in connection with Wuala. [Without agreement to the contrary, a copyright notice is to be applied and the modification of data is prohibited.]

What do you understand by making data public? Sharing a folder with everyone is obviously public, but how about a private folder of mine? The fact that I am using Wua.La to store some private files makes them also public?? (since they are stored anyway in the network)
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Your data is encrypted before it is stored inside the wuala network. Therefore there is no possibilty for someone (including caleido) to access it wihtout someone having access rights to it (like some friend you granted access to). That is what Domink said in his google tech talk video. Therefore this term, in my opinion, has no effect for private data. But as i am just a user as you are this is just a guess.

Inappropriate?Matthias is right. Private and shared files are not affected by this.
The quoted paragraph allows us, for example, to take a screenshot of Wuala that shows your published files and to show it on our web site.
