Cheating users + fake accounts - a real problem
This is really getting annoying and in some cases gets way out of control - some users create dozens of accounts to earn the bonus gigabytes!
What can we do against this? Report the fakes?! Seems a bit impractical... It's a fight against the big stupid masses.
You said you are logging IP adresses because of this, but you can easily get a new IP if you reset your dynamic DSL connection so it seems this protection is not effective as well. Even more, it doesn't even seem to be in place! I'm going to exploit this soon and give feedback...
My idea: You only get your gigabyte for an invitation permanently if the invited user gets pro. It's still rather easy to exploit this but not as easy as now with this current system.
In the meantime please tell us what we should do against these fakers + how to report them or whatever - and what you are doing and plan to do against them!

Inappropriate?Thanks for sharing your concerns. We're aware of that as well - however, we don't put too much effort into fighting against fake accounts at the moment because that system will be obsolete with the public beta on August 14 anyway.2 Comments

So you can ONLY get more storage space from sharing space + hard cash in beta? I thought you would limit the invitation system to ~10 GB or something reasonable to give useres a little chance to upload a bit more - maybe with the "only pro useres count" limitation... -

Èver heard of AutoIT? You could possibly create a few thousand accounts overnight... there aren't even captchas anywhere (not that captchas would help much)

Inappropriate?I think AutoHotKey is the easier version of AutoIT. Wuala makes you select several images that are related to nature when you sign-up.
I'd like you to try to make several thousand accounts overnight. :)
