Does the Filesystem integration provide any kind of control of what gets saved on the local disk?
I have turned on the filesystem integration on Linux.
Now, when my friends copy files into their directory that they share with me, the files automatically start to be saved up on my local harddisk...I would really like to see some way to control this data flow to my local harddisk.
Also, can I copy files into the folder from my friends on my local harddisk - will this be uploaded too (to my friend and all the other people this directory is shared with?) or would this file just stay on my disk?
Thanks,
Ron

You have to download files manually don't you?

That gets saved in your "Local Cache". -

No, It automatically puts them into ~/wuala/direct/USER/CONTENT
I’m confused....

Well, this is how the filesystem integration works. It's _not_ on your local hard disk. ~/wuala/direct/ is mounted as an nfs drive, so its all remote in there (except what is cached on your local disk from there). -
Inappropriate? What would be the folder equivalent for Windows?

Inappropriate? No clue, I'm not using Windows

Inappropriate?Hi reggler,
eth0 is right, this is a network drive, not a local drive (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_...(protocol) for more information). Therefore data is only stored on your local hard disc if you download and/or export files.
Second, it is not possible to store data in your friends folders as you do not have the permissions to do so. You can store files in your own folders or in group folders. There, files are automatically uploaded and distributed in the P2P cloud.
@sunk818: Open your file explorer - there is an additional (network) drive (usually W:).

Inappropriate? Thanks, I was just looking for clarification on whether a file is actually cached to your local disk versus just being visible on the network drive. It sounds like you still have to download the content if you want it available locally.
