Drag and drop does not work under Windows 7?
Drag and drop used to work under XP, Vista and Windows7.
Now using Windows 7 and this feature does not work anymore.
I do not have more detailed information, but maybe others do.
File menu / Add Folder and Add Files works.
I tried drag and drop from Windows Explorer and from Total Commander.

Inappropriate?do you read the faq and all the comments within wuala? dragdrop requires filesystemintegration, and if im not mistaken, fsi never worked on win7 as of now. wuala is planning to change the technology regarding fsi to make it work with win7 at some later point. be sure to check your co-dwellers threads and topics before creating dupe posts. good luck.

Inappropriate?You are mistaken.
I have been using Windows 7 with Wuala for a while. Certainly filesystem integration never worked - we all know about this. That is why we were told to use drag and drop instead. I do not know in which post I read it, but I remember this recommendation: Until filesystem integration is ready, use drag and drop!
And it _used to work_ under Windows 7. Yes!!
This problem might be an isolated one. Maybe others do not have this. I do not say that it is Wuala's fault. But I am curious if others have this problem too. -
Inappropriate?Hi Bunda,
I can drag and drop stuff under Win 7 no problem. Can you tell me what exactly you're dragging where? -
Inappropriate?Hi Thomas,
I tried to drag single files and folders several times and to several places.
E.g.: drag a .pdf file into My Files\Documents.
The cursor does not change from
Certainly as I release the mouse button, nothing happens.
I noticed it after installing a newer Windows 7. But I am not sure if it is related to it. Version: 6.1.7600
Wuala is the newest: 246.
Trading storage works fine.
Drag and drop worked too, on my previous Windows 7. That was some beta version.
Anyhow, I already decided to switch back to Vista, so if it was only me having this problem then it does not matter anymore. -
Inappropriate? That makes sense. I'll install the RTM build and try there.
-
Inappropriate?I verified that dragging into Wuala works for me in Win 7 RTM. Dragging out of Wuala requires the File System Integration to work, which is not the case in Windows 7. Stay tuned...

this solves the problem

Inappropriate? It was about dragging into Wuala.
I already changed back to Vista, so if this error cannot be repeated on other Windows 7 instances and since other users did not report the same problem - as for me the topic can be closed.
Thank you for your help!

Inappropriate?Hello bunda,
wonderful, I ́ll close it. We will soon support Windows 7 so, like Thomas said, stay tuned.
Thanks,
Bernd

Inappropriate?dear bernd
perhaps you should reopen the thread; at least, dragging and dropping into wuala does not work for me (Win7 RTM, 32bit, all clean)
Best
I’m undecided
-
Inappropriate?Hi hrmpf,
if you really like, I ́ll do it. The next release is knocking right on our door. With this release, we will support Win7 and I am quite sure, that these problems are fixed with it.
Regards,

Inappropriate?I just started Wuala from our website, Win 7 Final, 32 bit. Dragging a file from Windows explorer to the /My Files/Documents in the Wuala UI works for me. What is the scenario that gives you trouble?
-
Inappropriate?I start Wuala from my desktop, try to drag a file from the desktop (or explorer) onto the open wuala window but can't drop it.
I don't really care about drag and drop, but I thought I'd let you know, since you seem to assume that it works... -
Inappropriate?I appreciate that you're trying to help us. It's just that we're having trouble to reproduce the problem, so I'm trying to find out what we're doing differently. Where in the Wuala UI are you dragging the file? To the tree view? To the main area? Which folder?

Inappropriate?sorry, much ado about nothing; my folder permissions were inconsistent... do close the case :-)
